Have you ever found yourself standing in the oral health care isle at your local drug or food store overwhelmed by the amount of toothpastes available for purchase? If so, you're not the only one! With the amount of choices out there, it may be difficult to choose the right toothpaste for your child.
Below are a few tips to keep in mind when shopping for toothpaste for your children!
- Locate the ADA Seal. When browsing toothpaste boxes, be sure the one you pick has the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of approval. The ADA seal ensures that the product you've chosen is safe, tested and trusted for your children.
- Choose Fluroide. Did you know having your children brush twice a day with a toothpaste that includes fluoride is a proven way to protect and strengthen developing teeth? When selecting toothpaste, make sure it has fluroide in it. Your little ones teeth will thank you!
- Make Brushing Fun. We know getting your kids to brush can be a difficult task. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to make brushing a little more fun. Select a fun flavored toothpaste or a toothbrush with their favorite cartoon character on it. That way they have something to look forward to each and every time!
