Can you believe that the Fourth of July is just a few days away? We can't either!
For kids, the holidays are a time to eat unhealthy snacks. However, it doesn't have to be like this. Below are some healthy snacks that kids can sink their teeth into this weekend.
At most Fourth of July celebrations, there is a cheese plate just waiting to be picked at. Cheese contains calcium and phosphate. These vitamins strengthen tooth enamel and kill bacteria in your mouth. Encourage your children to say (and eat) cheese!
Make sure your child gets a good serving of veggies this July 4th! Carrots and broccoli contain Vitamin A; a vitamin that strengthens tooth enamel. They can also help clean your gums. It's a win-win situation!
Once the dessert platter comes out, your little one may be tempted to eat sugary snacks. Resist the temptation and opt for the fruit salad instead. Apples, strawberries and kiwis are filled with Vitamin C. This vitamin is responsible for holding cells together.
Do you have questions about your child's dental health? If so, we encourage
you to give us a call at our Medford or Commack office locations. We'd
be more than happy to make sure your child's smile is a healthy and
happy one! To learn more about our pediatric dental practice, visit www.supermolar.com.
