We're pretty sure its safe to say that at one time or another, we've all struggled to get our kids in the bathroom to brush their teeth in the morning or before bedtime. However, getting your children into a regular brushing and flossing schedule is essential to battling tooth decay and other oral health issues!
Below are a few tips
that you can try to help get your children excited about brushing. Hey, they might even ask to brush after this!
Let Them Pick out their Toothbrush: Walking up and down the oral health isle at the grocery store and letting your child pick a toothbrush may do the trick. Let them pick a toothbrush in their favorite color or with their favorite character on it. This may make them more inclined to get into the bathroom and brushing on their own.
Get Funky with your Flossers: Regular old floss is boring for children and may be hard to use. If you pick up some fun, bright flossers, your kids may be more inclined to want to use them!
Tasty Toothpaste: Most toothpaste flavors are minty. This may be overwhelming for a young child. If you purchase a toothpaste that is tasty, your kids are more likely to brush for the full two minutes.
Timing is Everything: Playing your child's favorite song while they brush may help get them to that two minute mark. This will also help to pass the time without having to constantly ask them to keep on brushing!
