We admit, first visits to the dentist office can be a bit scary for young children. Here at Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County I & II, we make the first visit for your child both enjoyable, comfortable and positive. Wondering when you should bring your child in for the first time? Our office along with the AAP, ADA and the AAPD recommend establishing your child's dental home by the age of one.
If you're preparing your child for their first visit to our office, we suggest not using trigger words such as pull, drill, hurt, needle or shot when describing the office visit. We do invite parents to stay with their child during the first visit to ensure comfort at all times. In future visits, you can stay if you prefer, however, we recommend that parents aren't present for all visits so we can develop a trust and confidence from your child.
Contact Pediatric Dentistry I & II today to schedule your child's first visit! Our Medford office can be reached by calling (631) 320-0880 and our Commack office can be reached at (631) 486-6364. For more information on our pediatric dental practice, visit www.supermolar.com.
