The holiday season can really wear you out. Now it’s time to
enjoy the rest of yours and your child’s holiday break. Newsday has some great non-holiday activities for your child to
enjoy or just adults.
Find a roller skating rink by you and take the family to
skate a couple laps while listening to some popular music. Hot Skates of
Lynbrook has sessions for kids during the day and soul/club night session for
adults.
Karts Indoor Raceway of Ronkonkoma has an exciting indoor
go-cart raceway along with arcade games and laser tag. Your child has to be at
least 40 inches tall to ride in the go-cart and 52 inches to drive. You even
get a printout of your statistics after the races.
If you are looking for more of an adventure stop by
Strikeforce Sports in Deer Park. Intead of paintball Strikeforce has airsoft
electronic guns where you battle against another team in an indoor battlefield.
It even has a bar and restaurant you can hang out in after all that shooting.
After the holidays you deserve a nice glass of wine.
Schedule a wine tour out east or locally and enjoy the taste of Long Island
wines.
See a performance of “Beauty and the Beast” at the Patchogue
Theatre of Performing Arts. The show is playing now until Sunday.
This weekend the Cradle of Aviation Museum’s Dome Theater of
Garden City is presenting a National Geographic film about prehistoric
monsters. See “Sea Monsters” like you’ve never seen before and enjoy what the
museum has to offer.
