Wondering how to pick out the right toothbrush for your child? One of the best ways you can help your child maintain clean and healthy teeth is by choosing a toothbrush that fits them best. A worn out toothbrush cleans your teeth much less effectively than a new and fresh toothbrush!
Below are a few toothbrush tips, courtesy of Colgate!
- Don't wait until your child's toothbrush is worn out and frayed to replace it. When a toothbrush is worn out, removing plaque and bacteria from teeth is much more difficult. Toothbrushes should be replaced every 3-4 months!
- When it comes to picking a toothbrush, there are many different shapes, sizes, and styles to choose from. Try selecting a toothbrush with soft bristles or a small brush for your child so it reaches all of the necessary areas.
- The best way to find out if your child's toothbrush is right for them is by asking them! Ask them if the toothbrush they're using is comfortable and encourage them to brush two times a day for two minutes each time.
If you have any questions about what type of toothbrush your child should be using, please don't hesitate to give us a call at either our Medford or Commack location or visit us online at www.supermolar.com.Labels: Best Pediatric Dental Practice on Long Island, Children's Oral Health, Orthodontist Commack, Orthodontist Medford, Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County I and II
